L'area dell'euro comprende 21 Stati membri da quando la Bulgaria ha adottato l'euro il 1° gennaio 2026. L'inflazione armonizzata (IPCA) nel blocco è pari al 3.2%, a fronte dell'obiettivo del 2% fissato dalla BCE. Quell'unico dato sintetizza 21 economie molto diverse sotto un'unica politica monetaria: per questo il divario tra i singoli Paesi dice spesso più del dato complessivo.
